Not Much Happenening here......

.....So true...I am enjoying the first day back at having the house to myself...So far I have started reading a new book, done all my house work, have had a nanna nap and haven't had to referee a fight for five hours...so I am in heaven. The only sound I have listened to today is the washing machine and the birds outside...Aaaaah Bliss!!!

We bought a tent yesterday...a BIG one...it took forever to put up...hopefully as we get better at it it won't take as long. The girls and I slept in there last night. Wasn't the best nights sleep due to my paranoid daughter who kept waking me up and asking what every single noise was...my reply...NATURE...it was fun though. At least now when we want to go on a camping trip we can....first one coming up in the 1st week of January...not sure where we are going, but it will be fun.....I haven't been camping since my early 20's...and that was a disaster in itself.

Still no scrapping done here. I plan to sit down tomorrow and get some unfinished ones finished. And start a couple of new ones.

Lots of Success at Comps

I am so proud of my beautiful baby girl....what a week she has had at dance comps...or rather 4 days. After going in to the Festival with no expectations she has come away with five 1st places(2 Troupe:U/12 Modern and u/14 Tap, Both her duo's: Tap and Modern and one solo: Slow Modern), One 2nd place (u/14 Modern Troupe), a 3rd Place (Tap Solo)and a HM(4th....Modern Solo)Involved in 8 dances...3 troupes, 2 duo's and 3 solo's and she has placed for every single one.....A huge Thank you to all her teachers, without whom these dances would not be possible, and to all the girls and boys who danced this week, not just from our studio, but from all the other studio's well done, you have put on a magnificent four days of dancing.Here are some photo's of Baylee with her placings....some Items I didn't get photo's off because there were quick costume changes.

Mojo is flowing....3 more LO's this week!!!

Finally the mojo has been running again...I've managed to do at least one LO if not 2 every day since Sunday...really happy.

This 1st one is of Shayne and the girls from when we were in Melbourne, he really is a big kid...I have NO idea why he has that expression on his face...I am assuming they were playing PS.

This next one is using papers and embies I received from Kerri over at H&S, for the H&S Page Kit Swap...I loved them, they are the Little Shoebox "Imagine a Forrest" range, same PP's were used for the above LO. Baylee and Shayne...2 Peas in a Pod...the wording down the bottom of the LO, describes their relationship to a tee!!!

This last one is the last CC challenge I managed to do from H&S, this was Heathers challenge where we had to write about the influences of a male figure in our lives and then also had to scraplift a page from the H&S gallery. This was a particularly hard LO for me to do as It bought memories swimming back of my POP and how much I really do miss him!!!

....and in other news...We sold the Corolla....WOOHOO.....time to go shopping for all that nice new bedding, including a NEW mattress (we have been sleeping on a mattress that is very very old)!!!

This one was Melissa's challenge to find ebies that you have excess of and re purpose them....I've used a variety of pattern papers and punched them into 3 different flower shapes and used them as a frame.

Some New LO's

Well I managed to get some LO's done over the weekend. All of which are for the Lovely Jules' Live to Scrap Blog Challenges. I did both Digital and Paper and had a ball doing them...even if they were very last minute!! so here they are

This first one was a criteria challenge...5 cut out embies, 4 photo's, 3 stamps/rub ons, 2 journal blocks, & 1 piece of ribbon...

The next one was based on a Page Maps Sketch...

And the third one was to take inspiraation from a Bon Jovi album cover we had two choices I chose 'Lost Highway" and took the colours from it and used them on my LO.

Also had a CC over at Home and Scrapped for which I posted a challenge...my first ever one... I set a sketch (which I drew myself, for which I am quite proud) challenge with Criteria and this is my sample LO

The criteria was to use at least 2 Circles and at least 2 squares and incorporate Father's Day!!

Ok here it is!!

....My new car...my RAV4 that I have been wanting for such a long time. It is Champagne Gold(technically) and absolutely devine to drive. In one of the pics you can see my Corolla in the background....you can understand why I needed a bigger car.

WOW...September already...What happened to August??

Well what a whirlwind month August was...did it even happen??? I had an up and down month....the start we were all quite sick, particularly the kids. Then I've had computer issues, mobile phone issues, etc...the list goes on. Hoping September will be better.
On a brighter note I have, just on Friday got a NEW car. I finally got a RAV 4 and I love it...I love all the gadgets and all the space...when the rain dies off I will actually take a pic and upload here.

Scrapping wise...not much just the 2 LO's below. Have a CC on the weekend and a trip to Mistra's in the middle of the month...so hoping the mojo comes fast and furious.

2)Pic of Me. 3)A Frame. I decided to do this LO digitally...am quite happy with the result.


Beautiful Distraction a challenge for Home and Scrapped...this challenge was to use ONLY card stock for everything except obviously the photo.
